FOR THE WEEK OF JANUARY 8, 2018

DEAR JERRY: You have listed auction and sales results of the most collectible records by amounts fetched, but never by label. Can you name some U.S. singles getting the most money in record auctions for each label?
—Kirk Robertson, Jacksonville, Fla.

DEAR KIRK: For this intriguing project, we'll list the labels alphabetically, with selection number, rounded amount realized, title (with notes when needed), artist, and year of issue.

The minimum amount for this purpose is $500, and that's why some of the more common labels are not included. The collectibles market is ever changing, so sales reflected here may vary from past or future results.

Sometimes, the Blues can really bring in the green.
