DEAR JERRY: Many years ago, I began searching high and low for the soundtrack album for the movie "Best of the Best." I have since looked virtually everywhere for this LP, but with no luck.

At the end of the movie, it is stated that an original soundtrack album is available, but no other information is provided.

Can you assist in this search?

DEAR LANCE: Here is some additional info that may make the search a bit easier: "Best of the Best" (Relativity 88561-1034-1) came out in 1989. This album has tracks by Paul Gilman, Jim Capaldi, Charlie Major, Stubblefield and Hall, Kirsten Nash, and Golden Earring.

"Best of the Best" is definitely on the scarce side, and likely to be more expensive than most of the 1989 releases. Sales are few and far between, and has sold in the $30 to $50 range.

DEAR JERRY: In the mid-'50s, when I first started dating my husband, he gave me a record titled "Mostly Martha."

Since he was in the Air Force, we traveled the world a lot, and that one, plus many other records, got lost somewhere along the way, including "Mostly Martha."

My husband has since passed away, and I often think of that sweet song. I have tried to find a copy, but, lacking any details, I have made no progress. What can you tell me about this recording?

DEAR MARTHA: "Mostly Martha," adapted from the Flotow Opera's "M'Appri," became a Top 40 hit in early 1956 by the Crew-Cuts (Mercury 70741). It was backed with "Angels in the Sky." This is most likely the record hubby gave to you.
