DEAR READERS: Last year we got an unusual request, from someone who wanted to know every recording of "Stormy Weather," from the mid-1940s to the end of the '80s.

Thankfully, the only details that mattered was the artist's name, record format, and year. Even so, it was still a lengthy project, resulting in 183 verified recordings of "Stormy Weather."

I didn't duplicate listings, meaning someone who had a single, 45, 78, or both, of "Stormy Weather" may also have it on an EP or LP, etc.

It just occurred to me that, having that research in hand, it might be of interest to other music lovers. And if you come up with ones we don't have, send the info and we'll add it to the list.
